Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Physics faculty position in the Department of Physics which begins August 2024.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in physics, service to the department, college, university or community, and research in the area of theoretical/computational optical physics, or closely related field. The successful applicant is expected to establish or continue a sustainable, externally-funded research program, and demonstrate exemplary teaching during the fall and spring semesters. 

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

A PhD degree, or the foreign equivalent, in physics, optics, or a related discipline, is required.
