Summary of Job Duties:
The Director of Systems Programming and Database Services will manage the Administrative Computing department of UA - Pulaski Technical College. The Administrative Computing department is responsible for maintaining databases used across the campus, integrating with third party vendor software, and supporting users that access these systems.
- Provide supervision and leadership to Administrative Computing.
- Manage the annual budget for Administrative Computing.
- Work as the onsite project manager for administrative computing projects.
- Create and maintain departmental policy and procedure documentation in order to standardize processing within the department.
- Work hand in hand with other departments across the institution to make sure that their software needs are being met.
- Work with other departments to vet and onboard new software solutions.
- Manage the sunsetting of old software packages that the institution has used in the past.
- Maintain / manage security roles in different software systems used by the institution.
- Work with professional development to train users on software systems needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in programming, systems analysis, or database administration.
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the Chief Information Officer and the interview committee.
