The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a full-time Applied Learning Coordinator in our Career Development Center. The Applied Learning Coordinator is responsible for managing partnerships with industry and workforce development agencies that lead to the applied learning opportunities for students including internships. This position provides individual career counseling; group workshops for resume and cover letter development, workplace success skills, interview skills, and other skills for current students to assist them with conducting a job search. The Applied Learning Coordinator administers career assessment and assists undecided students with the selection of curriculum of study.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Provides individual and group advisement for students interested in applied learning experiences;
- Conducts site visits to maintain relations and expand applied learning opportunities;
- Participates in external networking activities with emphasis on relationship development;
- Manages communication with partners from local business and agencies for career and internship opportunities;
- Coordinates with faculty liaisons for development of applied learning sites and to assist students with placement;
- Develops and implements career related programming;
- Coordinates Career Fairs, Volunteer Fairs, Internship Fairs, and Job Shadowing programs;
- Creates and manages applied learning contracts and tracks placements;
- Connects students to resources that provide current information on developments and trends in the job market;
- Performs other duties related to this job description and as assigned by the Director of Holistic Student Support.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in human resources or developing and managing external partnerships
- Ability to travel and possession of a valid driver's license
- Master's degree in relevant field
- Experience in career planning in a college setting
- Experience coordinating internships
