Job Description
The Division of Theatre seeks a collaborative scenographer to help innovate and evolve its current programs in theatrical design and technology. Duties and responsibilities include:
- teach world building to both graduate and undergraduate students;
- develop coursework and contribute academically in the areas of expertise;
- mentor and advise student designers;
- participate in student recruitment and retention efforts at the undergraduate and graduate levels;
- establish a creative/scholarly agenda for promotion and tenure which maintains a professional profile within and outside of the university, and the regional cultural arts community; and
- service environments characteristic of a Conservatory within a University.
Minimum Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in production design for live and digital entertainment;
- Familiarity with both traditional and digital storytelling methods;
- A commitment to mentorship at the graduate and undergraduate level;
- Professional experience in design and production in genres such as theatre, television & film, theme parks, industrials, and/or other related fields; and
- A terminal degree is required.
Salary
$55,000 - $65,000 is commensurate with credentials, experience and scholarly aptitude or accomplishments.
