Patient Access Manager
Job Duties:
The Patient Access Manager in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brody School of Medicine is responsible for day to day patient experience within the clinical sites. This position monitors telephone activity and physician schedules, addresses patient and physician concerns related to patient appointing, oversees patient referrals, ensures compliance with ECU Physicians and departmental policies and protocols. This position is responsible for daily review of provider schedules to ensure appropriate scheduling has occurred for optimal patient flow and utilization of resources in the short term and for long range planning. Employee will monitor facility needs and ensure the facility is aesthetically pleasing to our customers. There will be collaboration between the providers and the Clinical Administrators, and this position is essential to optimizing patient access to clinical care. Additionally, this position will float between two clinical locations, ECU Women's Physicians and the Brody Outpatient Center as needed.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with ECU Health Medical Center. ECU Health Medical Center is the flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a clinical science department within the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. As the regions only academic OBGYN department, the primary functions of the department are to teach obstetrics and gynecology to medical students, resident physicians, post graduate students, nurses and other allied health professional, provide evidence-based and comprehensive clinical service to the region, and conduct clinical research featuring our rural mission.
