Position Description
Position open for a Genomics Research Assistant at Harvard Medical School to join an exciting Immunology research lab investigating immunological tolerance, in relation with autoimmune disease and host/microbe interactions. The Research Assistant will belong to a team analyzing gene expression and its regulation in cells of the immune system, using several cutting-edge tools in genomics and immunology (cytometry, RNAseq, ATACseq, CUT&RUN). Will also work in the context of ImmGen, an international research consortium, helping with coordination, epigenomic data generation and analysis, and interacting with scientists worldwide for the flow of materials and data. Will participate in computational data analysis, in relation with bioinformaticians or immunologists in the lab or in collaborating institutions in Boston. Will also participate generally in the lab's operation and management of equipment and supplies. We are looking for a team player, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities, who will work closely with several other research scientists inside and outside the lab.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS or Masters preferred.
Additional Information
This is a two-year term position from the date of hire, with the possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance and continued funding to support the position.
Offer contingent upon successful completion of a pre-placement medical evaluation.
This is an in-person position based on our campus in Boston.

- College degree or equivalent work experience, and familiarity with computational analysis.
- At least one year of related work experience in molecular biology or genomics (relevant laboratory coursework may count towards experience).
