AI and Machine Learning Assistant Professor
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with emphasis in the areas of Machine Learning. Special attention will be given to foundational Machine Learning research as well as its applications involving Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, HCI/IoT, Databases, Software Engineering, as well as generative AI, Natural Language Processing / Large Language Models. Exceptional candidates in all areas of computer science are encouraged to apply.
The candidate should have potential to conduct high quality research, seek research grants, and be committed to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate is also expected to engage in interdisciplinary collaborations across the university. This is a full- time, benefits eligible position with an anticipated start date of August 2024 or earlier. The prospective hire must have completed an earned doctorate in computer science or related disciplines by the start date.
