Provides leadership and direction in all aspects of administering multiple university branch campuses or major satellite locations. Meets ORP eligibility requirements. Major/Essential Functions
- Establish a vibrant Institute for One Health Innovation that substantially enhances federal funding at both Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
- Lead IOHI faculty teams to pursue federal funding for One Health research and education.
- Lead the development and accreditation of One Health Innovation curricular programs.
- Develop a strategic plan for the Institute for One Health Innovation, with key research and curriculum milestones and funding goals.
- Market regional, state, and national significance to solicit state and federal support.
- Oversee the development of a 120,000-square-foot research and academic building to house between 30 and 40 Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center researchers.
- Manage research space and research infrastructure for the Institute for One Health Innovation.
- This position will be jointly appointed at Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D in an appropriate health and life science research field.
- Strong history of federal funding for One Health research (NIH preferred).
- Experience leading large research centers and/or programs.
- Knowledge of or past experience with working in general academic campus and/or a health sciences center.
- Experience building relationships and bridging programs across multiple institutional partners.
- Experience leading a program or directorate within a federal agency.
- Experience as a higher education administrator on a research-intensive university campus.
