Position Description
Performs clinical applications support duties with the clinicians and staff providing patient care in the ambulatory clinic setting.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Support all aspects of the EMR program throughout the build, implementation, and post implementation support phase
  • Supports clinical departments during implementation of new projects or workflows
  • Regularly monitoring incoming email, voicemail and other service request in regards to issue or concerns with the EMR system
  • Answer clinical/technical questions about the applications/systems to any group within potential, new or existing customer accounts as well as internal resources
  • Provide and develop training and support to end users on Cerner application
  • Collaborate with EMR vendor and other third parties for development and implementation of projects and to ensure build of system is working as designed
  • Coordinates and educates clinical staff and EMR department on changes or updates with EMR and revenue cycle program
  • Perform specialized build for the EMR (provider notes, powerforms)
  • Conduct workflow assessments and integration plan in order to implement projects/workflows in a clinical setting 
  • Be a liaison and advocate for the end user between IT, EMR & administration promoting good relationships
  • Submit, build, and maintain project requests and plans
  • Create appropriate testing plans to ensure functionality of product before implementation 
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree and 4 years of experience in medical/electronic medical records; or a combination of education and experience to equal eight (8) years.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Cerner, Powerchart, and Revenue Cycle (CPM) 
  • Strong knowledge and/or adaptability to various clinical and professional software fluency
