Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm with occasional evening and weekend work required
Salary: Targeted salary range: $43,040-$46,300
Travel: Less than 10%
Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Manage local community engagement for the Michigan Learning Channel throughout the Upper Peninsula, reaching out to private and public school teachers, intermediate school districts, administrative staff, community organizations, and family support groups. Encourage use of the Michigan Learning channel by educators, families, and students and collect feedback and suggestions for improving the service. Coordinate digital learning resources and create new learning opportunities around the MLC content.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Discipline / Degree Area: Education, Communications, Promotion or related field
Required Specialized Training/Certifications: None
Required Minimum Work Experience: Three years working in or partnering with PK-12 education as a teacher or administrator.
Three years' demonstrated work experience in a team environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Understanding of pedagogy in a PK-12 environment.
Demonstrated history of enthusiasm and genuine interest in working with educators and community partners.
Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
Ability to work independently.
Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare proposals and reports.
Strong computer skills (PC, Microsoft Office suite).
Operational knowledge of social media and its use in promotion.
Ability to work under stressful situations.
Ability to work with diverse communities.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Advanced leadership training.
Experience in customer relations and client service.
On-camera interview and promotion experience.
PK-12 classroom teaching experience.
