Job Description
The Division of Dental Hygiene is seeking a qualified Administrative Support/Clerical Staff/Team Clerk to support the Division of Dental Hygiene. This person will work with individuals in both clinical and non-clinical settings. In the clinical setting, this person will schedule patients' appointments, communicate with others and support students and staff. The Administrative Support/Clerical Staff/Team Clerk supports faculty, staff and students and will be responsible for supporting administrative professional assistance to the Chair and Division faculty in a non-clinical setting - allowing them to focus on more advanced responsibilities. This position is needed to meet the Commission on Dental Accreditation Standards 3-10 and 3-11 - regarding Support Staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Experience managing schedules, working in a fast-paced environment, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Salary
Up to $18.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting administrative professional assistance to the Chair and Division faculty in a non-clinical setting; writing and editing emails, scheduling meetings, preparing communications on the Chair's behalf
- Understand how the Division of Dental Hygiene works within the School of Dentistry (SOD) by applying skills and knowledge of SOD procedures and systems by scheduling of patients, connecting students with their patients; providing information, assistance and support to School of Dentistry students, staff, and patients
- Work as a team member in the Division with faculty and students to accomplish the objectives of the Division.
- Collects data as directed by the Chair for annual CODA survey and accreditation documents
- Use critical thinking to provide solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment
- Maintains open communication with others and shares information in a timely fashion to meet deadlines
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
