Position Description

Position may supervise program staff, volunteers and/or students.

Major/Essential Functions
- Performs work in a manner that reflects the values of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC)
- Follows all TTUHSC safety operating policies and required training set by the TTUHSC Office of Safety Services
- Acts as the face of the TTUHSC University Center (UC) greeting visitors, determining the nature and purpose of the visitor, directing and/or escorting them to their destination
- Offers information about TTUHSC and the UC, such as services, departments, locations and
- employees
- Assists in scheduling space and equipment for special programs and events held in the UC or
- Academic Event Center (AEC)
- Conducts TTUHSC tours and delivers information regarding TTUHSC, it's schools and programs
- Provides back up for the External Relations (ER) receptionist to include screening calls, forwarding calls, providing information, taking messages or directing phone calls to the proper destination
- Provides backup for the Vitals Manager to include recommending, selecting or helping locate
- merchandise and processing cash or credit payments
- Creates and maintains UC department/personnel directory and calendar of events for the TTUHSC campus
- Assists Visitor Center Director with Red Bag Tour operations to include planning, marketing, registration, execution, and review of all tours
- Coordinates student-led tours
- Provides basic A/V assistance with events held within the UC Lobby
- Maintains lobby or reception area to include music, digital displays, physical displays and furniture
