The Health and Human Performance department is seeking qualified instructors to teach a variety of graduate-level courses in the online Master's in Sport Management program. For the full listing of courses and possible instructor vacancies within the Sport Management program, visit the following catalog link. There is an immediate need for the following courses to be developed and taught within the next academic year.

ABOUT THE SPMG PROGRAM: The Master's in Sport Management is a fully online program offering courses in 7-week blocks and requires the completion of 30 graduate-level credits. The program provides specialization in the high-level management and operations of athletic teams, departments, and organizations at the amateur, collegiate, and professional levels. The program prepares graduates to become experts in their chosen medium of specialization as students choose an emphasis in Athletic Administration or Sport Performance Management. The Athletic Administration emphasis focuses on the leadership, management and governance of organized sport. The Sport Performance Management emphasis focuses on managing teams of staff responsible for enhancing athlete performance.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Health and Human Performance Department was established in 2016 offering an undergraduate degree in exercise science. Bachelor degrees in Population Health and Recreation and Sport Management were added the following years. A Master's of Athletic Training was created in 2021 and the newly established Master's in Sport Management in 2023. The department has seen significant growth since its inception with the largest enrollment in the College of Health Sciences and even surpasses three other university colleges.

Responsibilities
- Provide instruction, lead group discussions, grade assignments, and assign grades.
- Collaborate with the Program Director, as needed, to develop curriculum and create course assessments.
- Respond to student inquiries and be available to meet with students online, as needed.
- Abide by all applicable executive orders, federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations, as well as University policies and procedures relating to part-time faculty and general campus employment. Attend and/or complete required trainings by the University and additional training as determined by the Department or Program.
- A Master's or doctoral degree in Sport Management or related discipline.
- Individuals without a masters or doctoral degree can be considered for a position, if they have a combination of the following: 1) Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, 2) extensive sport industry experience, and 3) evidence of continual professional development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of course content.
