Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Represents TTUHSC School of Health Professions to prospective students, current students, staff, and faculty to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals.

  • Oversee the day to day processes of SHP OASA team for Recruitment and Outreach. Ensure operational efficiencies, provide quality customer service and information, and ensure successful execution of processes and projects for all SHP programs, current and prospective students.

  • Serve, collaborate and actively contribute to the SHP OASA leadership team. Support current initiatives, processes and goals of the OASA team; and develop new, efficient, and emerging processes and strategies to support the mission and of the school and university.

  • Manage and implement recruitment engagement with colleges, universities, community colleges, high schools and applicable community partners.

  • Manage the TTUHSC School of Health Professions recruitment schedule. Serve as the SHP point of contact for special recruiting events, and tours at the TTUHSC.

  • Oversee the development and delivery of TTUHSC, SHP and program specific presentations. Population attendance will vary from 1-300.

  • Manage recruitment budget for the School of Health Professions to include travel, registration, advertising fees and recruitment inventory.

  • Assist with Slate (CRM) system in gathering student information, tracking and reporting.

  • Assist the Associate Dean for OASA with the development of SHP publications and marketing materials.

  • Assist with TTUHSC School of Health Professions events.

  • Assist in answering phones and email received fielding questions about the TTUHSC School of Health Professions.

  • Maintain relationships with Pre-Health Professions contacts at colleges and universities.

  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of TTUHSC and SHP Policies and procedures as they pertain to current students, recruitment and marketing outreach.

  • Actively participate and maintain membership in the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO) and Texas Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (TAAHP) associations.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Serve as admission advisor to prospective SHP students and SHP applicants.

  • Support our TTUHSC vision and mission by carrying out our values based culture.

  • Contribute to the overall success of the University and SHP by performing other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain the ability to work well with co-workers, faculty, staff, and students, provide excellent customer service and efficiently multitask.

  • Observe work safety rules.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work well and collaborate with faculty, staff and students with a positive attitude and emphasis on customer service. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented, flexible and collaborative, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website.
