Job SummaryThe Operations Coordinator will assist with the daily management of the Workforce & Community Programs Department (WCP) at Arapahoe Community College. This position will join an innovative environment dedicated to student success through leading-edge practices in career and workforce development. The Operations Coordinator supports all WCP programs and serves as the primary contact for programs resulting from new partnerships, grants, or employer requests. This includes monitoring course registrations, maintaining registration and data management processes and systems, supporting student registration, advising, arranging program and course logistics, and outreach. The position will also hire and supervise part-time hourly and student employees. This staffing coordination includes creating job postings, conducting interviews, extending offers, training, conducting regular staff meetings and employment reviews, providing learning opportunities for employees, and maintaining a part-time employee handbook. This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt (overtime eligible) position. Typical hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 9AM-6:30PM and Fridays, 9AM-4PM.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Three years of administrative support experience. Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Minimum of three years of database management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Experience in Banner or similar student enrollment database.
The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.
- Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
- This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
- The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Advertised Salary RangeSalary range for this position is $48,500 - 54,320, commensurate with education and experience. AP 3-45 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
