The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are seeking a part-time Executive Director of the Leadership Mohawk Valley (LMV) program, a program under the Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE). This position will report to the LMV Board of Directors and will work in conjunction with the Program Coordinator of the CLE and the LMV Board to deliver programming, recruit annually for class participants, connect with community leaders, secure program and event sponsorships and oversee the financial aspects of the program. This position will afford an opportunity for work at home options and schedule flexibility based upon the organization/program needs. 

The Executive Director of the Leadership Mohawk Valley will:
  • Be responsible for the leadership and management of the CLE programs, specifically Leadership Mohawk Valley and Board Leadership;
  • Be responsible for the program oversight in conjunction with the Program Coordinator of The Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE) day-to-day operations and facilitation of the Leadership Mohawk Valley program, ensuring timely execution of agreed upon deliverables[JRW1];
  • Work with the LMV Board of Directors (BOD) and the MVCC President to define the strategic direction of the CLE programs. This shall include but not be limited to: analysis of trends in the field, community needs and opportunities;
  • Be responsible for the fiscal viability of the CLE, including securing program and event corporate sponsorships, recruiting class participants, organization of special events and ensuring diversified funding;
  • Ensure the development and provision of a quality leadership programs that will be measured by mutually agreed upon, key performance metrics that are reported to the BOD;
  • Coordinate and promote all program days and LMV events in conjunction with the Program Coordinator of CLE. The ED will work collaboratively with the BOD to ensure that key program metrics and outcomes, are achieved. This task involves frequent communication with hosts, sponsors, site[JRW1] administrators and presenters to clarify and confirm arrangements
  • Attend program days, LMV events and Board meetings to answer questions and remain current on CLE priorities. The ED will provide support to committees and will attend committee meetings as requested;
  • Be responsible for all CLE communications in conjunction with the Program Coordinator of CLE. This includes, but is not limited to, electronic communications, media relations, website currency, social media and/or direct[JRW1] communications with key stakeholders;
  • Engage in continuous and ongoing recruitment of class participants;
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of all hardware and software related to the administration of the CLE program. This shall include routine backup of program related data;
  • Be responsible for the coordination and successful implementation of annual networking, leadership and marketing events including, but not-limited to: Orientation, Alumni Mixer, Follow the Leader dinner, and graduations;
  • Maintain all required records and necessary documentation in accordance with all legal requirements and best practice(s);
  • Ensure that the program is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations;
  • Maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of all resources, including but not limited to: staff, financial and time;
  • Build and cultivate relationships with key community partners to the benefit of the CLE programs, including but not limited to, alumni, BOD, key community business partners, sponsors, and/or donors;
  • Be responsible for other duties as assigned by the President of the Board;
Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience with successful program coordination and strong facilitation skills  
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Mohawk Valley Community
