Based at the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the Administrative Assistant reports to the Associate Professor and Chair of Clinical Specialities.  


  • Relieves supervisor of routine duties and completes ongoing tasks including:
    • originating written materials, transcribing dictation
    • scheduling and coordinating calendar and special events
    • maintaining files and databases
    • originating purchases and processing invoices
    • monitoring multiple budgets
    • Assists with projects
    • Answer questions, resolves problems
    • Takes meeting minutes
    • Maintains information for department and/or school
    • Processes forms
    • Liaison between students and faculty
    • General administrative duties assigned by supervisor


  • With a high school diploma as the highest level degree, 2-3 years of Administrative support experience are required
  • With a high school diploma as the highest level degree, 2-3 years of Administrative support experience are required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good computer skills, and solid administrative/organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and have good judgement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to organize virtual meetings, use of Zoom, Teams
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems/software packages
