Position Highlights

Plans, directs and monitors daily operations of one or more academic or administrative units. May have responsibilities that include facilities and compliance. Reviews and approves the acquisition and allocation of capital equipment and space to meet short- and long-term goals. Plans and manages budget.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily operation of MGIO operations, responsible for a large work unit including hiring, training, scheduling, feedback, evaluations, payroll and disciplinary processes. Develops and implements policies, procedures, processes and training /operations manuals. Provides guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
  • Provides program analysis, problem solving, management and overall department planning and consulting. Responsible for a budget (including grant and contracts) of $10M - $20M. Partners with other functional areas and leadership for needs assessment, process improvements, recommended solutions and implementation of programs/initiatives. Maintains and communicates standards to be used for all solutions/systems.
  • Adapts departmental plans or priorities to address resource and operational challenges; establishes and influences operating policies and contributes to policy/program development. Partners closely with college administrators and other leaders to execute mission and strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, including 2 years of managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
