Position Highlights
Designs, builds, delivers, and maintains web technology solutions for research and data management projects in the Wheeler lab. Designs the technical architecture of websites, ensuring that websites run effectively and meet needs and requirements established by the team lead and supporting personnel. Works with other front- and back-end developers to efficiently deliver solutions.This position is expected to last three months from the start date.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions both on the back-end (database, server-side software) and front-end (HTML, JavaScript, and appropriate web application framework). Ensure that software meets functional and aesthetic requirements, and also meets performance and security needs. Work is performed using general knowledge and moderate guidance.
- Engage in software engineering practices including testing, continuous integration, documentation, and release management. These efforts will support both the developer's and those of others in the group.
- Coordinate with developer team, to ensure efficient integration of efforts. Includes code integration and review.
- Document and present architectural and design decisions, to developer team and project manager (s).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
