Classroom Technology Specialist

Job DescriptionThe primary responsibility is the troubleshooting, request fulfillment, and documentation of classroom technology for faculty and students. This includes general setup, operation, and orientation, both remote and in-person, for all classroom technology, such as lecture capture, video conferencing, projection, etc. This role is also responsible for the maintenance and lifecycle management of this equipment.
The Classroom Technology Specialist serves as the face of ITS to faculty and students in the classroom, responding to technology-related service requests, questions, and problems, providing efficient and accurate assistance to the BC end-user community. Troubleshoot and resolve issues, or escalate others to the designated responsible area as appropriate, maintaining total contact ownership of all originated tickets to ensure timely follow up, communication with the customer and resolution. The Classroom Technology Support Team plays a critical and a very high-demand role with remote teaching and learning.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $47,050 to $58,800; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field. Minimum of three years of experience working in a Media Services organization with the following:
* In a customer service environment
* Troubleshooting classroom technology issues
* Providing user support
* Coursework in A/V classroom or IT support
* Working knowledge of 'smart classroom technology and e-control classroom monitoring software
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Anticipated work schedule (subject to change): 3pm -10pm Monday - Thursday, and 10am - 5pm on Fridays; Friday hours could be flexible as this position would also work some weekends.
