Assistant Professor of Economics and Business (Accounting)

Hendrix College invites applications for a tenure track position for an Assistant Professor of Economics and Business (Accounting) to begin in August 2024. The College seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college. Primary teaching duties will include introductory and upper level accounting courses in our undergraduate and Master of Arts in Accounting programs. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach in at least two of the following areas: financial, managerial/cost, tax, auditing, governmental/non-profit, accounting information systems, and general business topics. The normal teaching load is three courses per semester. Applicants with at least a master’s degree, a CPA certificate, and appropriate work experience will be considered.
