Program Support Technician
Job Description
Program Support Technician provides administrative and program support for faculty and graduate students in Mechanical Engineering, to include purchasing, travel arrangements and reimbursements, financial management, sponsored project administration, and other general administrative duties. This position teams with similar program support technicians providing support to other groups, provides backup and assistance to other team members, and participates in an active training and professional development program.
Required Qualifications
Experience providing administrative support in a professional or academic setting; proficient with various computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to interpret and follow policies and procedures; skilled in problem solving and is detailed oriented; must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be willing and able to work cooperatively in a team atmosphere and have a positive customer service attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with university policies and procedures; experience with Banner or similar database; experience with sponsored program administration; working knowledge of higher education business practices; experience working with accounting and or finance.
