Position Description
A non-recurring job having an appointment for less than four and one-half months with a nature of work consistent with that found in an office or administrative environment.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Acts as senior advisor to nurses in the call center.  Serves as senior call center advisor and possesses knowledge to guide other nurses in consults.
  • Answers daily questions from the infant risk center nursing staff. 
  • Answers call center phone for InfantRisk Center, advising callers of safe medication use for pregnant or nursing mothers, ensuring calls are answered and documented in a timely manner.
  • Looks up information in database and relays information to caller. 
  • Possess and maintains a thorough grasp of clinical knowledge pertaining to various disease states, medications, treatments, etc.
  • Interacts professionally with callers to provide the highest level of service.
  • Collaborates and consults with other team members as needed to optimize care.
  • Maintains confidentiality of caller and personnel issues.
  • Sets up new information on infant risk website concerning drug use in pregnant and breastfeeding patients.
Occasional Duties
Attends Grand round lectures
Attends meetings in Infant Risk center as needed

Required Qualifications
Due to the broad nature of work found in this job, minimum qualifications will be consistent with level and nature of work performed as determined by the hiring manager. 

Preferred Qualifications
  • RN, NP, or PharmD 
  • Experience working with breast feeding pharmacology

Pay Statement
