The Department of Orthopedic Surgery, College of Medicine Tucson at the University of Arizona is seeking a qualified applicant for the part-time position of Research Technician I. The research technician will perform technical laboratory duties and assist in animal studies by maintaining and breeding required animals.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Ordering, storing, and maintaining laboratory items.
- Ordering, maintaining, and breeding laboratory animals (mice or rats).
- Perform or assist in animal experimental activities (e.g., harvesting and processing tissues), cell culture, western blotting, gene expression, immunostaining, etc.
- Use of computers for data and statistical analysis.
- Contact technical or maintenance persons for troubleshooting laboratory problems (e.g., instruments, electricity, air conditioning, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Prior work experience not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science degree.
