Job Summary

Leads centralized operations to strengthen and sustain comprehensive institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Influences strategic programmatic efforts that drive the implementation of strategic plans and CSUs Equity Strategic Plan. Serves as a key member of the President's Equity Roundtable and co-chairs the Bias Incident Response Team (BIRT). Works with the VP, Student Belonging & Success, DE&I on developing and reviewing policies and procedures that align with DE&I. Leads the following functional units: Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement, Veterans Student Success Center, Pratt Center, Women's Center, and LGBTQ+ Services. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferably in social sciences or related field.

Eight (8) years of experience in DE&I and multicultural programming initiatives. Five (5) of the eight (8) years must be in a supervisory role.

Experience investigating and resolving bias incidents and matters of student conduct, higher education student affairs and student programming.

Successful record in grant proposal development and securing of philanthropic funds.

Ability to build internal and external relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree preferably in social sciences, education, higher education administration or related field.

Proven ability to successfully manage multiple complex projects and budgets.

Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to innovate and demonstrates new and progressive growth, while ensuring full commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Ability to have an executive vision, including the ability to articulate the vision, create a strategy behind the vision and be able to align a team in achieving that vision.

Must have exceptional insight and discernment skills.
