Job Summary:The role of Clinical Instructor is an opportunity to provide clinical support to a very busy practice and see a variety of acute and chronic pulmonary conditions. This position interacts with numerous clinical and academic professionals across the hospital and school of medicine that will expand knowledge and grow expertise.

Why Join Us:The section of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep medicine has 53 faculty members (to include Sr., Jr., PhD, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant faculty) and is a multifaceted program, with on-going interests in asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cystic fibrosis, sleep medicine, the pediatric airway and medical education. Our section has a significant research portfolio (clinical, translational, basic science) as well as a robust clinical portfolio with many quality and safety initiatives and expansion projects. Our fellowship program is highly pursued based on our current and historical reputation. The section of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine is currently ranked #6 in the country by US News and World Report, including a #4 national ranking for reputation. Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • MD/DO
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
  • Must be licensed or able to obtain licensure in the State of Colorado prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology
  • Prescriptive Authority
  • Experience and proficiency with electronic medical health record systems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge appropriate for individuals completing a three-year Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship
  • Ability to complete pediatric pulmonary diagnostics and therapeutic procedures
  • Pediatric clinical assessment skills
  • Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including both written and verbal
  • Exceptional time-management skills (to include managing email and other electronic forms of communication
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary group

Anticipated Pay Range:The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $22,165 at 0.15 FTE
