East Stroudsburg University's Department of Communication is looking for Instructor(s)/Adjunct(s)) to teach several introductory courses in Communication. Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU's proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to internships, careers and social activities. Just minutes from campus are the country's largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational fun.
The Department of Communication at East Stroudsburg University is establishing a three-year, temporary faculty teaching pool. Candidates must be able to teach one or more of the following courses: CMST 111 Introduction to Communication, CMST 253 Public Speaking, CMST 229 Broadcast Journalism, and CMST 337 Broadcast Management. Potentially qualified adjuncts might be asked to teach any other upper-level courses. Applications on-hand will be used to fill vacancies as needed. Distance learning and/or off-campus teaching opportunities may be possible.
ESU's Department of Communication offers a program of study that leads to a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with four concentrations. The program offers a comprehensive foundation of core and elective courses that are elemental in the discipline of Communication to prepare students to excel in concentrations of their choice.
Qualifications

- Competency to teach one or more of the following courses: CMST 111 Introduction to Communication, CMST 253 Public Speaking, CMST 229 Broadcast Journalism, and CMST 337 Broadcast Management.
- Masters in Communication and/or a related field is required; A Ph.D. Degree in Communication might be preferred.
- Candidate should demonstrate teaching excellence in areas of competence.
- Experience working with diverse populations preferred.
- Final selection will be based on excellence in teaching, a review of the candidate's curriculum vitae and a successful interview.
