The Engineering and Public Policy department at Carnegie Mellon University seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach the Data Science for Technology, Innovation and Policy course (#19-603) for its Master's degree programs in Engineering & Technology Innovation Management (ETIM) and Engineering and Public Policy (EPP). The successful candidate will guide students to learn how to use R to collect, organize, and analyze data in technology, innovation, and policy-related domains. The focus will be on the practical issues faced when conducting data analyses, correctly implementing and interpreting statistical models, and summarizing results for clients and research purposes. ETIM has a strong set of corporate partners that provide projects, summer internships, and employment for students, and the new director should maintain and expand these partnerships.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering & Technology Innovation Management or PhD in Engineering and Public Policy
Expertise in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data in technology, innovation, and policy-related domains
